The people of the Dominican Republic

An estimated 9,760,000 people live in the Dominican Republic. 73% of those people are multiracial, 16% are white, and 11% are black. The literacy rate (how many are educated) is 85%. Over 95% of the citizens are Christians, 82% of Christians are Roman Catholics. The main language for the Dominican Republic is Spanish.
